| About Kung Fu San Soo |
Kung Fu San Soo is distinguished among martial arts by its straightforward practicality, broad adaptability, a reliance on scientific principles and the absence of tournament competitions due to the extreme devastation caused by many of its techniques.
Kung Fu San Soo was first developed as a temple martial art centuries ago in the Quan Yin monastery in China. The Art formally known as "Tsoi Li Ho Fut Hung San Soo Kung Fu" was brought to the United States by Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo (Chin Siu Dek), a direct descendant of the monks who first developed it. Grandmaster Woo first taught the art publicly in California in 1962.
San Soo was introduced to Arizona by Master Scott Leitch, student of Master Al Rubin, a first-generation San Soo fighter under Grandmaster Woo. Master Leitch is widely recognized to be one of the late Master Rubin's finest students and has a reputation not only as a superb practitioner, but also as a Master with deep insight into the theoretical and pedagogical aspects of the Art.
George Gregg is one of Master Leitch's first Arizona students, beginning his training with him in Spring 1994. He was privileged to serve as Master Leitch's partner in the Chandler school during the mid-to-late 90s and to learn from him as his only closed-door student during that time. Taking a hiatus from regular training to serve in community development overseas, George reconvened his study of the Art shortly after his return to the United States in 2006.
Today George carries on the tradition of excellence of the Woo-Rubin-Leitch lineage by continuing to hone his San Soo skills under the guidance of Master Leitch and by teaching students semi-privately in Chandler. Fourteen years after beginning training with Master Leitch, George received his 2nd Degree Black Belt in March 2008. He is honored to count Master Leitch as his mentor in the Art and a close personal friend.

Welcome to George Gregg's KUNG FU SAN SOO of Arizona!
"Legendary and devastating...[Kung Fu San Soo is] a pure Chinese fighting art that has few equals." --- Inside Kung-Fu Magazine, Dec. 1999
Greetings!
Until this page is completed, for some excellent discussion about San Soo Kung Fu, please check out the "Other San Soo Instructors" in the sidebar. Many other practitioners and instructors have developed fine sites detailing the history, lineage and principles of the Art and it is it unnecessary to duplicate their efforts.
Please also consider checking out the videos on Youtube and MySpace related to Kung Fu San Soo, to see the Art in action.
Soon, I hope to have a gallery with several photos and videos reflecting on the San Soo experience in Arizona since I began studying the Art from Master Leitch over 13 years ago. Until the larger gallery is established, here are a few pictures from the early years in Arizona...
If you're a practitioner of Kung Fu San Soo in Arizona or are just interested in it, or a former colleague or student of Master Scott Leitch, please drop me an email and let me know where you are and how you're doing. It'd be great to hear from you.
Best regards,
Geo

Let me respectfully remind you:
Life and Death are of supreme importance.
Time swiftly passes by and opportunity is lost.
Each of us must strive to awaken.
Awaken!
Take heed.
Do not squander your life.
Postscript:
While Kung Fu San Soo is my primary art, and Master Leitch my mentor, I would like to show respect to three martial artists with whom I have also studied formally:
Sensei David Nachman of Kokikai Aikido in Tempe, AZ.
Sifu Brian Tufts of Tufts' Wing Chun Gung Fu Academy in Tempe, AZ.
Sensei Charlie Hooks at the Notre Dame Judo Club in South Bend, IN.
